NC-31 Solar Farm

VivoPower enters the U.S. solar market

VivoPower developed, designed, financed and built the 43.3 MW NC-31 Solar Farm in Bladenboro, North Carolina, USA. NC-31 was the first of two solar farms completed by VivoPower in North Carolina totalling 91 MW.

NC-31 was VivoPower’s first solar project in the U.S., completed just over one year after the start of the company’s operations in North America.

Highlights:

  • 129,000 solar panels over 196 acres
  • Financing partners included New Energy Solar and U.S. Bank
  • Enough clean energy to power 11,000 homes each year
  • Power sold under a 10-year fixed-price Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Duke Energy Progress
